When Our Powers Combine...

SUPER BABY ACCOUNTANT!!!!!

Now, I'll admit, this wasn't all my doing...I had some help with the idea from another fellow accountant (you know who you are...) and after that seed was planted in my head, there was no turning back.  Sorry Harrison, maybe I'll let you choose your own outfit next year... :)  And thanks to the zoom and crop functions, you can't see the little puggle so quietly laying on the bottom of the suit, trying to get as close to him as she can without me noticing. Little stinker...

Also, in true Adam Hill form, any holiday is an excuse to party!!! This is what happens to super baby accountants when the milk really starts to flow! Woo-hoo!!!
We finally were able to make it to the pumpkin patch, by the way! It really lived up to all the hype (mostly for me, not so much for Harrison).  Apple cider donuts and hot caramel apple cider...Yum!

Thanks for showing your enthusiasm, kid...

At least one of us enjoyed it, right? :)
As you can see, Harrison couldn't be bothered from his nap to take a silly pumpkin head picture. He slept through the ENTIRE THING!!! We went with a few girls from the birth class and their babies.  At this rate, Harrison will never make any friends!  In fact, when I held him for this picture, the girls said "Oh, cute! We can actually see his face!"  All the other play dates, he sleeps in his carrier...for hours...and conveniently wakes up hungry on the drive home...

Here's a few pics from my phone to share since I haven't been posting regularly...

Well, I guess that about wraps up October! We are looking forward to Thanksgiving festivities next month! I have about a month and a half left off of work, so I'll be busy enjoying that.  Hopefully we'll still have a few days without rain so we can get out of the house, but that may be pretty unlikely.

Rainy Season

It is POURING outside. I guess "summer" (also known as the 3 months that it doesn't rain every day) is finally over and we get to look forward to 8 months of wetness...So we'll spend our evening cuddled up on the couch, watching Finding Bigfoot on Animal Planet and drinking red wine.  Good times!

Besides the weather, things have been good here.  Harrison has finally started to recognize who mom is...which is good until he realizes he's being held by someone other than mom...which results in fussiness only consoled by a Moby wrap and an exercise ball.  Adam was able to work out the perfect combination tonight which allowed me to take a much needed bath with a glass of wine....lovely...

Harrison is also getting a little more interested in his surroundings. Today, we took a tour of the kitchen and living room wall decorations, and he looked very thoughtfully at each piece.  He actually smiled at a picture of Dudley taken about 10 years ago! Very cute...

Last weekend, we visited Yakima and loved seeing all our family and friends! Harrison met so many people, although he slept through many of the meet and greets...the life of a baby, huh?  In fact, Harrison so routinely sleeps through play dates I take him on, that I'm not sure he'll ever meet his fellow baby friends! :) He's just too sleepy to be bothered with it, apparently...

Keep reading for some of Harrison's 1 month pictures... :)

Sorry, can't post without a puggle picture! She's always wondering what is going on...

It's not bath time yet, Gracie!!

Also, this is my 100th blog post!!!! YAY!!! Here's to 100 more!! :) Thanks for reading through them all, the ups and downs and too many pictures of puggles to even count. I'll try to talk about other adventures aside from baby related stories, but I can't make any promises....

So About That Pumpkin Patch...

Turns out it's closed on Sundays, so we have to postpone that little trip for a few weeks, but don't worry, I'm not letting this October go by without some homemade spiced apple cider and pumpkin donuts!! YUM!!  I apologize to those of you that were really looking forward to those pictures, but they'll be posted eventually.

In the meantime, here are a few little snapshots to satiate your adorable baby boy thirst... (odd wording, I know...I've been reading too many breast feeding websites, so now words like "satiate" are part of my everyday vocabulary...)

I'm starting to brainstorm some Halloween costumes for Harrison...any suggestions? Adam already has his costume chosen.   Recently, he's been listening to the country music radio station and that has inspired his 2012 costume.  What do you think?? :)

The lead singer of Zac Brown Band.  I'm working on the knit hat, Adam's working on the body and the beard.

Although, in all reality, we are probably going to be sitting on our couch for Halloween, so no one may get to enjoy our creativity in person for this masterpiece, but that's what cameras and the internet are for!! :)

Thanks for reading!! :)

3.5 Weeks

Yes, it's already been 3.5 weeks since little Harrison was welcomed into the world.  He's been on the welcome tour ever since, meeting all of his new friends and family, and he still has many more to meet!

Yesterday, we visited Taylor in Seattle and went on a little walk down to the beach.  It was absolutely beautiful and the weather was perfect for a walk and sunset.

Cozied up with Aunt Taylor for the walk down to the beach.

Harrison wasn't quite awake yet after napping for the entire walk to the  beach...that kid knows how to travel, I tell ya!

The walk down to the beach was...colorful, as we were mistaken for a lesbian couple.

More pictures to come from this weekend...we are visiting a pumpkin patch tomorrow!
