We Just Can't Stay Away....

...from pancake feeds!!!

This Sunday, we attended our second pancake feed and it was great! It benefited East Valley Fire Fighters.  Harrison was more than happy to pose for the sake of the blog, as you can clearly see...

We felt a little more normal attending this pancake feed than the first one, which supported the Bellingham Boy Scouts...in which we have absolutely no connection to other than we happened to grocery shop at the store where they were pushing the tickets and Adam had a craving for some flap jacks.  At that point, we didn't even have a kid to try and pretend we belonged there...just two adults, sitting at a table by themselves, eating a delicious stack of pancakes...not creepy at all, right? But at least Adam had the foresight to bring me along...THAT could have been awkward.

We attended this feed with our good friends Fred and Erin, of the highly acclaimed home building and renovation blog "Nothing a Match Can't Fix," which you can find the link to on the left side of my blog.  They have been so accommodating to us while we've been living in transitional housing without cable during the NBA finals and we definitely owe them for hosting game watching evenings the past few weeks.  :)

Also this weekend, we went to the farmers market for the first time and Harrison and I went to a purse party (like Pampered Chef or Scentsy, but totes and bags).  Harrison was the only male in a house full of females.  You'd think, being the flirt he is, he'd be loving all the attention, but no...

He had the most fun playing with the toys in the living room, and who can blame him? You can only watch puggles wrestle for so long before needing some new entertainment!  I also think Adam gave him strict instructions to be as squirmy as possible to make it very difficult for me to select any products, but my motherly sway and bounce foiled the plan and he was passed out just in time for me to write down what I wanted... :) Nice try, boys!!

We've been taking lots of walks lately (all the way down to Walmart, even!), and Harrison does great in the stroller, just observing and taking in the ride...unless one of us (usually me) forgets to pack the binky and he gets sleepy.  We've had to make a few emergency pit stops, but then he falls right asleep and we finish our walk while he dreams away...

Well I think Summer is officially here!! Hope you are enjoying the nice weather!  We sure are!

  1. Harrison is looking so coordinated! He was not such an A+ stander when I saw him last.

Although Juniper seems to hate the car, she does love the stroller. We have to hide it from her, or else she points to it and cries. At least there's one mode of transportation we both enjoy. :)
